Perinatal & parents

Wondering why it feels so hard? It feels that way because it is, and being a parent is the hardest and most exhausting (and sometimes, thankless) job you'll ever have. It can also be the greatest. 

The perinatal and parenting periods include times when thoughts and feelings are mixed up (thanks to sleepless nights, enduring mental and physical pain, trauma and grief, and every societal expectation that's placed on us), and it can feel hard to tell which way is up. There's also nothing wrong with you and nothing to 'fix'. You're having a hard time because you're going through a hard time, especially in the age of the promised village being nearly nonexistent.  

No one is supposed to do this alone. I would be honored to support you during this period and promise that I will never be scared to hear the thoughts that go on inside your mind. This is the space where you let someone take care of you because you deserve it.
