Feeling stuck, lost, or just not yourself?
Sometimes it's hard even to explain what's wrong. You just know that something is off. You're tired in a way that doesn't go away, you're reacting to things differently than you used to, or the version of yourself you want to be feels further away than it should. Maybe you've been carrying something for a long time, and you're finally ready to put it down. Maybe something recently shifted, and you're still trying to make sense of it. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, major life transitions, and the kind of stress that builds up quietly until it isn't quiet anymore.
I don't believe there's something fundamentally wrong with you. In my experience, people struggle because something happened to them and not because they're broken. Therapy is where we slow that down and actually look at it. You can expect me to be warm, but also direct. I'll reflect your strengths to you, and I'll also gently (sometimes firmly) name the patterns that aren't serving you anymore. That's not judgment, it's just what good therapy looks like. We'll figure out together what you want to feel different, and build toward that in a way that actually fits your life.
If you've never done therapy before, it's okay not to know what to expect. The first session is mostly just talking about what brought you in, what's been going on, and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before you arrive. Most people leave that first session feeling a little lighter just from having said the hard things out loud.
All are welcome here.
