Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions before reaching out? That's completely normal! Here are the ones I hear most often.

The best place to start is a free 20-minute consultation. It's a low-pressure conversation with no commitment and no paperwork. Just a chance to talk about what's going on, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for whether working together makes sense.

Yes, telehealth is available for anyone residing in Washington state. In-person sessions are available at my office in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle.

Ascending View is currently out of network with insurance providers. Many clients receive 40–80% reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. I can provide monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance directly.

Yes, all couples are welcome, regardless of relationship structure, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Yes. Therapy during uncoupling or coparenting transitions can be tremendously valuable and healing for your family unit. You'll be able to process what happened in a calm and safe environment, figure out how to communicate as coparents, as well as finding your footing as an individual again.

Perinatal refers to the period surrounding pregnancy and birth- trying to conceive, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. I work with people at any stage of that journey, including infertility, pregnancy loss and, the identity shifts that come with becoming a parent.

The first session is mostly just talking. I'll ask about what brought you in, a bit of your background, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. I promise that you don't need to have it all figured out before you come in. I find that most people leave feeling a little lighter just from saying things out loud.

It depends on what you're working on and what you're hoping for. Some people come in with something specific and feel ready to wrap up after a few months. Others find ongoing therapy valuable for longer. We'll check in regularly about how things are going and whether the pace feels right.

Most clients start with weekly sessions, especially at the beginning. As things progress, some people shift to every other week. We'll figure out what makes sense for you.

A limited number of sliding scale spots are available. If cost is a concern, please don't let it stop you from reaching out. Just mention it during our consultation, and we'll figure out what works.
